Search For Missing Pittsburgh Man Ends Tragically

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pittsburgh man who had been missing for more than a month has been found dead, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.

On Dec. 30, Pittsburgh police's special victims unit asked for assistance in finding Kurt Ross, 42, who was last seen in the city's West End on Dec. 5. Police said he might have been in need of medical assistance.

In an update issued on Wednesday, police said Ross had been found dead on Jan. 6.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of his death.

No further information was available.
