Teen Arrested In Pittsburgh-Area Armed Robbery, Shooting
After a months-long investigation, police have made an arrest in an armed robbery and a shooting that wounded a woman.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Allegheny County police have made an arrest in an armed robbery that resulted in a shooting in Munhall.
At 10:53 p.m. on March 25, county 911 was notified of a shooting in the 2900 block of Main St.reet First responders found a 30-year-old woman shot one time in the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. Munhall Police requested the assistance of the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit, and detectives initiated an investigation.
Detectives determined the female victim was outside a residence when she was approached by an armed male wearing a ski mask who demanded money. A brief altercation ensued, and the male shot the female one time in the leg and fled the scene.

Through witness interviews, surveillance video, and additional evidence recovered at the scene, detectives were able to identify the suspect as a 14-year-old teen. After consultation with the county district attorney’s office, he was charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault and robbery.
