TSA Finds Gun In Woman's Carry-On At Pittsburgh Airport: Police

Transportation Security Administration officers found the gun Sunday and alerted police, authorities said.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A woman tried to bring a gun through the main security checkpoint at Pittsburgh International Airport, according to police.

Rachel Scott-Roth, 44, of Belmont, Ohio, had a handgun in her carry-on bag, police said, adding Transportation Security Administration officers discovered the gun at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and alerted Allegheny County police.

Scott-Roth did not have a valid concealed carry permit and was charged with misdemeanor carrying a firearm without a license, police said, adding the FBI was notified of the incident.
