Veterans Day 2025: Free, Discounted Dining Options For Vets Around Pittsburgh
Western PA has one of the nation's largest concentration of veterans, and they can get great deals at area restaurants on Veterans Day.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Veterans Day is upon us, and numerous Pittsburgh restaurants are offering free and discounted dining options to those who served as well as active military personnel. Usually a military ID is required.
Among the eateries offering specials:
- Applebee's: Offering a free meal from a special menu that includes a 6-ounce top sirloin, classic bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders platter, double crunch shrimp, fiesta lime chicken,Oriental chicken salad and three-cheese chicken penne.
- Aroma Joes: Offering a free drink (any size up to 24 oz.) at its locations in Monroeville, Greensburg and Indiana.
- Buffalo Wild Wings: Offering a free order of 10 boneless wing and fries.
- Chili's: Offering a free meal.
- Denny's: Offering a free Original Grand Slam from 5 a.m.-noon on Nov. 11.
- Olive Garden: A free meal from a special menu.
- Primanti Bros: Offering a free Almost Famous sandwich.
- Raising Cane's: Offering a “Hero Discount” — a 10 percent on purchases — to all active and nonactive military, plus fire, police and EMTs and their families.
- Red Robin: Offering a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger and bottomless steak fries.
- Shake Shack: Offering a free Big Shack, made with two Angus beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, a bonus bun in the middle, and a new secret sauce.
- Sheetz: Offering a free half turkey sub with any extras and add-ons along with a regular size fountain drink. Sheetz also will provide a free car wash ($9 value option only) at locations that have a car wash.
- Starbucks: Offering a free tall (12 ounce) hot or iced coffee.
