Western PA Man Invites 2 Men To Home, Then Kills Both: Police
A Western Pennsylvania man allegedly shot two men to death in his residence.
ARMSTRONG COUNTY, PA — A Washington Township man shot and killed two men he had invited back to his home while they all were at a nearby restaurant.
Scott Warren Shaffer, 56, is facing two counts of criminal homicide, according to court documents.
According to the criminal complaint, Shaffer and the two victims were at Ruby's Den Burger & Spirits Bar and Grill before the shooting, WTAE-TV reported. Shaffer invited the men, aged 27 and 32 back to his home.

Shaffer arrived at the residence before the victims, WPXI-TV reported. He grabbed a rifle, told his daughter to remain in her room and not come out.
In the early morning hours Wednesday, Shaffer allegedly shot both victims and asked his daughter to hide the gun. She refused and called 911.

Shaffer was taken into custody and confessed to killing the men, police said. A motive has not been disclosed.
Shaffer is being housed in the Armstrong County Jail. He faces a preliminary hearing on Jan. 22.
