Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Pittsburgh, Western PA

PITTSBURGH, PA — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Pittsburgh and most of Western Pennsylvania from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 4 a.m. Thursday.
An ice storm is expected to bring an accumulation from a glaze to a tenth of an inch. Less than an inch of snow also is possible.
The weather service advises people to plan on slippery road conditions beginning as early as the Wednesday evening rush hour.

Greater ice accumulations are possible north and east of the city.
Winter storm watches are in effect for Butler, Armstrong, Indiana and portions of Westmoreland and Fayette counties from 7 a.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. on Thursday. Significant icing is possible, with up to one quarter of an inch of ice along with an inch of snow possible.
