Flash Flood Warning Issued for Eastern Allegheny County
Part of Washington Boulevard is closed.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for eastern Allegheny County.
Washington Boulevard is back open between the flood gates. No one was injured or trapped. It was the first time the gates have been activated since installation.
Allegheny River Boulevard between Verona and Washington Boulevard inbound is closed due to a downed tree. It's not affecting outbound traffic.
National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicates very heavy rain from thunderstorms.Â
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the road. The water depth may be too great for safe passage.
The flood warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning expired before 5 p.m.
