This week's restaurant spotlight is on the Freedom Square Diner, l<a href="https://plum-oakmont.patch.com/groups/5-things/p/new-diner-opens-in-verona">ocated at 148 Allegheny River Boulevard, Verona.</a> The restaurant, which also has a location in Cranberry, opened in September at the former Cafe Naples and Johnny G's space in near Giant Eagle the shopping plaza. Chris Kinzler and father-and-son team Tom and Shawn Cross own the restaurant. <a href="https://plum-oakmont.patch.com/groups/verona-vues/p/a-stop-at-freedom-square">The diner serves classic American food, including a variety of breakfast options.</a> Some of the fall specialties include pumpkin pancakes and waffles. There also are steak omelets, crab benedict, burger, hoagies, wings and more. Freedom Square Diner is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
