A Car Show and Girl Scouts, This Week
Check out a few events happening this week in the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area.

The Greater Plymouth Community Center will hold Girl Scout Day on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. Girl Scouts, ages 10-12, will be able to earn their swimming badges. This program is for the Junior Girls division of the Girl Scouts. Information, equipment, and facilities that are required to earn this badge will be provided. Cost is $5 per person. The Conshohocken Public Works Committee will meet Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at borough hall; the finance, transportation and economic development committee will meet the same night at 8 p.m.

The Whitemarsh Board of Supervisors will meet Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the township building on Germantown Pike.

The Greater Plymouth Community Center will hold a pumpkin decorating event on Friday, Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Bring your own pumpkins to carve or decorate. The center will provide paint and other supplies for decorating as well as knives and carving kits. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please call ahead to register; you can register at the door, but spaces are limited. You must bring your own pumpkin. Whitemarsh Township will hold a shredding day on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to noon at Miles Park. The event is free for residents; cost is $10 per bag or container for commercial residents; and $15 per container for all non-residents.

The Lincoln Fire and Spring Mill fire companies will hold their fourth annual car show on Saturday, Oct. 12 from noon to 3 p.m. at Spring Mill Fire Co. The proceeds will benefit both fire companies. The show will include a burnout competition. Cost to enter is $15 on the day of the show; the rain date is Sunday, Oct. 13. For more information about the show, click here.
