Conshy Man Arraigned on Attempted Burglary Charges

The man was allegedly caught looking through a bedroom closet.

Conshohocken Police arrested a Conshohocken man Tuesday on attempted burglary charges. 

Corey Phinizy, 23, of the 200 block of West Fifth Avenue, was arrested after he allegedly broke into a residence in the 300 block of Spring Mill Avenue early Monday morning. 

According to police, the victim said he was sleeping in a bedroom toward the rear of the residence when he heard something and saw the light of a cell phone in his bedroom; the defendant, identified by the victim as Phinizy, was apparently looking through the victim's closet, police said.

Bail was set for Phinizy at $25,000. 

According to court documents, Phinizy was arrested on drug charges in Conshohocken in 2009; and arrested on loitering and prowling charges in May.

Phinizy's preliminary trial is scheduled for Nov. 5 in front of District Justice Deborah Lukens.
