
Michael Joseph Kurowski, of Plymouth Meeting, died Saturday, Oct. 19. He was 88.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Josephine (née Pniak) Kurowski.
Kurowski was a veteran and served in the Merchant Marines after World War II.

He attended Penn State University and was captain of the gym team as well as the Nittany Lion Mascot; Kurowski then attended Drexel University, where he received his degree in mechanical engineering.

Kurowski is survived by his wife, Wanda (née Ponczka) Kurowski; his children, Rich, Robert, Ron, Michelle Gregory and Susan Kurowski; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; his brother, Stanley; and many nieces and nephews.
A life celebration will be held Friday, from 9 to 9:50 a.m., followed by a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Saviour Church, 407 East Main St., Norristown. Interment will be at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.
