Two Road Closures, Council and T-Ball, This Week
Check out a few things happening this week in the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area.

- Morris Road will be closed and detoured between Butler Pike and Lafayette Avenue in Whitemarsh on Monday, Sept. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., for the replacement of a deteriorated drainage pipe, according to the township’s website. During the one-day closure, motorists will be detoured over Butler Pike, Route 73 and Lafayette Avenue.
- Aqua Pennsylvania will close Pennsylvania Avenue between Camp Hill Road and Indiana Avenue in Upper Dublin and Whitemarsh townships, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Monday, Sept. 16 for water main replacement, according to the township’s website. The weekday closure will be in effect through the end of November. During construction, Pennsylvania Avenue through traffic will be detoured over Bethlehem Pike and Camp Hill Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
- Conshohocken Borough Council will meet Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall. For more information, visit the borough’s website here.
- Plymouth Township’s Zoning Hearing Board will meet Monday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. in the township building’s auditorium.
- The Whitemarsh Environmental Advisory Board will meet Monday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at the township building on Germantown Pike.
- The Greater Plymouth Community Center will hold its “Home School Gym” program on Wednesdays through Nov. 6 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The program will include physical fitness instruction, sports, games and swimming. The program is geared toward children 5-12. Cost is $66 for non-residents; $56 for non-residents pass holders; $53 for residents; and $46 for resident pass holders.
- The Greater Plymouth Community Center will hold a T-ball program for children ages 4-6 on Saturdays from Sept. 21 to Nov. 9 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Children will learn the basic skills of baseball and games will be played every week. All players should bring a water bottle and a glove. Cost is $63 for non-residents; and $51 for residents.
