William P. Davis, Life Member of Conshohocken Fire Co. No. 2

William P. Davis, of Conshohocken, died Sunday, Oct. 6 at his home. He was 86.

Born in Swedeland, he was a son of the late Grace (Bosler) and Joseph B. Davis.

Davis lived in Plymouth Township for more than 50 years. He was a member of Conshohocken United Methodist Church.

He worked as a crane operator with Alan Wood Steel for more than 20 years, and then as a security officer at One Montgomery Plaza for 21 years before retiring. Davis was a member of Fritz Lodge F. & A. M. and a Life Member with Conshohocken Fire Co. No. 2.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann Freese of Conshohocken; a son, William R. Davis of West Conshohocken; two sisters, Sara Henning of East Norriton, and Katherine Tirpak of Jeffersonville; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Gene; and a sister Mildred Dolga.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Moore, Snear and Ruggiero Funeral Home in Conshohocken. The Rev. Ricky Ayala will officiate. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
