Juggling Dinner and Fun in Springfield

Clowns from the Ringline Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus brought fun and mayhem to the Chic-fil-A restaurant on Baltimore Pike in Springfield Thursday night.

Alex Barney and Mike Richter bring a little taste of the circus ahead of the big show which arrives at the Wells Fargo Center in South Phildalphia for a five day run February 13-17.

Barney tells Springfield Patch that he is a third generation circus performer who is spending this season two city steps ahead of the travelling "Greatest Show on Earth" promoting the circus.

Barney and Richter each spent several years touring with the show before acting as heralds of hilarity and letting audiences know that the circus is coming.

The clowns delighted kids and parents at the restaurant with juddling, jokes and posing for photos while handing out $5 off discount ticket coupons (available on line-use the promo code AMAZE for the 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. shows on February 14 and 15.) This year's 143rd edition of Ringling Brothers show is entitled Built to Amaze and  features more than 110 performers representing 17 countries.
