Springfield Halloween Parade Tonight

An evening of family fun features a costume contest, free treats and a parade. Come say hi to your friends from Springfield Patch.

It's a night of costume contests, a parade and early trick or treating on Saxer Avenue in Srpingfield Wednesday night.

The Saxer Ave. merchants and the Junior Women's Club of Springfield are sponsoring the family-friendly event which starts at 6 p.m. at the PNC Bank Branch on Saxer Avenue.

After the costume judging at PNC Bank, kids and parents will parade down Saxer Avenue to the Springfield Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Corps Firehouse.

Merchants will be giving out candy along the parade route. Be sure to stop by the Springfield Patch stand to say hi and get a treat. We'll be stationed right by the firehouse.

We'll also be taking lots of photos to post on Springfield Patch, so be sure to smile and then check out Springfield Patch on Thursday morning.
