Springfield PD Investigating Thefts from Cars

The Springfield Police Department is investigating a spate of thefts of items from unlocked cars during the night.

There were reports from the following areas that sometime during the night someone entered unlocked car and stole the listed items while the cars were parked in the driveways of their homes. The incidents are under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley, according to police.

  • One car from the 100 block of S. Norwinden Drive was rummaged through, but nothing was taken.
  • Two cars from the 600 block of Dutton Circle: one was rummaged through and nothing was taken; the other had the car's paperwork taken.
  • One car from the 700 block of Dutton Circle had a small amount of coins taken.
  • Two cars from the Unit block of Nield Road: one had a woman's wallet with credit cards and identification taken; the other had cash and coins taken.
  • Two cars from the 200 block of Rambling Way: one was rummaged through and nothing was taken, the other had a small amount of coins taken.
