Back to School: Conestoga
Classes resume today in T/E. The district's biggest school will be in full swing with a full day right from the start.
l classes start at 7:20 Wednesday morning with a full school day on tap. Conestoga dismisses at 2:20 p.m.
Conestoga's Principal told Patch last week the enrollment for this fall is 2,060 students. While the exact enrollment number is always subject to change, that's up slightly over last year with over more a little over 500 students in each grade.
The first two days of school will include orientation activities to help returning students get back in the swing of things and new students learn their way around.

Meisinger says there will also be lots of FROGS in the halls. No, there was not a poblem with escaping experiments in the science labs. FROGS is the acronym for Friends Reaching Out and Guiding Students. The principal says Conestoga has a strong student peer mentoring and guidance program which pairs older students with younger and new students to help them not only learn their way around, but offer guidance and throughout the year.
While Wednesday is the first day of classes, it is not the first day back from vacation for hundreds of Pioneer students. More than 200 musicians and color guard members spent the last two weeks in band camp, logging 60 hours of rehearsal time in preparation for the fall season. have been practicing for interscholastic fall sports since August 15th.
