Conestoga Football Season Opener Postponed to Saturday

Blame it on the rain.

The first regular season game for the Pioneers football team has been postponed to Saturday night at Owen J. Roberts High School.

The game had to be moved because the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) requires teams to have had at least 15 days of practice prior to the opening game.

Rain last week forced a practice day to be canceled, meaning the teams had only 14 days of practice and forcing the game to be rescheduled. It will be played Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown.
