Drugs Present In July Motorcycle Death On 1-76: Chesco Coroner
A motorcyclist's death on 1-76 in July was an accident, but the coroner's toxicology report said drugs were present.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Amphetamine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other drugs were identified by Chester County's Coroner in the investigation of a July 21 fatal motorcycle crash with a truck on I-76.
The Chester County Coroner's Office completed its investigation into the death of Logan Carl Abbott, 30, of Bradford County. Abbott's body was found on I-76 westbound between mile markers 320.6 and 320.5 in Tredyffrin Township on the night of July 21, according to the report.
Chester County Coroner Christina VandePol, M.D., said the cause of Abbot's death is multiple blunt impact and crush injuries. The manner of death is accidental, VandePol reported.

The Coroner's Office also reported that its toxicological analysis was positive for ethanol, amphetamine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, norfentanyl, and acetyl fentanyl.
The Chester County Coroner’s Office is an independent agency serving the citizens and honoring the deceased of the county by investigating the facts and circumstances concerning jurisdictional deaths which have occurred within Chester County. "We determine the cause and manner of death, the identity of the decedent, and provide notification to the legal next of kin, while exhibiting the highest degree of compassion, professionalism, and integrity," the Office said in a statement.
