Guns and Hoses

A sweltering hot day and a downpour are hardly obstacles for people who volunteer to run into burning buildings.

Fire Companies from Paoli, ,  well as the Easttown Police Department competed in The Dreams for Heroes tournament Sunday. It started in scorching temperatures and ended when downpours soaked the Field of Dream Complex on Howelville Road. But the rain didn't dampen the spirit of fun and sportsmanship.

Berwyn Paoli Area Little League hosted the area’s first responders for a day of family friendly fun.

The participating firehouses, including Radnor, Berwyn and Paoli,   brought along firefighters uniforms to try on and fire trucks, patrol cars and “first responder” equipment, for everyone to see.

The day also included a free picnic for all in attendance. And fun and good sportsmanship.
