Help for Seniors: " Know Your Rights"

Seniors can arm themselves with information to fight fraud Tuesday at a free seminar sponsored by (R-PA7).

According to an announcement from Meehan's office "representatives from the Social Security Administration, Elder Abuse Victim Advocates, Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, Senior Victim Services, the Department of Aging, and many others, will be on hand to answer questions."

Meehan, a former Delaware County District Attorney and U.S. Attorney for Southeastern Pennsylvania, said “the unfortunate reality in today’s world is that many seniors are often targeted and they become victims of scams and fraudulent activity. I wanted to host this information session to help educate seniors, make sure they are protected and that they know their rights.

The free event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 18 Baltimore Pike in Springfield.
