Thursday Night Seminar on Avoiding ID Theft

Tredyffrin Township Police will teach you how to reduce your chances of becoming the victim of identity theft.

Identity theft is one of the fastest rising crime categories in the U.S.. To help keep township residents from becoming victims,  Acting Tredyffrin Police Superintendent Anthony Giaimo tells Patch his department will hold a seminar Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. in the Tredyffrin Township Municipal Buidling.

According to the Tredyffrin Township website "the class will take place in the Police Department’s multi-purpose room, accessed through Keene Hall. Signs will be posted in advance.

Learn how not to become your neighborhood’s next target! Learn what to do to secure your valuable information from the prying eyes of the cyber-world. The class will be instructed by Officer James Konieczny and Detective Todd J. Bereda.

Giaimo says officers will also be available after the identity theft seminar to speak with resident about any concerns or questions the public may have not only about identity theft, but also about any topic of interest or concern to township residents.
