New Eagle Elementary School Honored

has been selected as one of 304 schools nationwide honored as a 2011 National Blue Ribbon School.  

In making the announcement U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said  “National Blue Ribbon Schools are committed to accelerating student achievement and preparing students for success in college and careers. Their success is an example for others to follow.”

According to a news release from the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District the review process "began last school year when the state of Pennsylvania nominated New Eagle Elementary School for this recognition. A committe of New Eagle staff members conpleted an application that was sent to the U.S. Department of Education for review."

New Eagle and the other 303 Blue Ribbon schools will be honored at a conference in Washington, DC in November.
