North Valley Road to Close This Weekend
Crews will assemble and lift into place a pedestrian bridge.

North Valley Road will be closed for a long weekend, starting at 7 p.m. Friday and not opening again until 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
The closure will be between Valley Green Road and the north side of the Route 202 overpass. Traffic will be rerouted to Route 252 via Swedesford Road and Lancaster Avenue/Route 30.
Crews will be working round the clock, according to David Stauffer with the Chester County Facilities & Parks Department, assembling and raising a pedestrian bridge into the air.

A 500-ton crane did the heavy lifting and raised the assembled bridge into place. The crane will be back to lift the similar, but slightly shorter bridge over North Valley Road this weekend.
The Tredyffrin Township section is in Phase II of the trail, which extends to Montgomery County and is expected to open in the fall. Phase I is already open in East Whiteland Township, and a third phase heading west to Exton is also planned.
Status updates about the trail's construction, like the detour map attached to this article, are available on the Chester County website.
