Now You Can Check Out Books or Nooks
The Easttown Library and Information Center goes high-tech.

The Easttown Library and Information Center is now lending Nook tablet book readers.
According to the Library's website "each Nook comes preloaded with at least ten titles. Nooks can be checked out for three weeks. For a detailed listing of titles on the Nooks, or to reserve one online, click here to be directed to the catalog. The Nooks have been made available to Chester County Library System cardholders through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Innovative Projects Grant."
You can check out a Nook for free for up to three weeks. They cannot be renewed like most books in the library.

Five dollar a day fines on overdue Nooks are much steeper than the fines for books and you can only return the devices at the circulation desk, not the outside book drop.
Other rules also apply to borrowing the devises. Complete details are available by clicking here.
