Water Main Construction to Cause Two Months of Detours, Delays on 252

The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 17

Route 252/Leopard Road will be closed for nearly two months for water main construction, starting on Monday, October 17th.

PennDOT says the roadwork will cause detours from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays between October 17 and December 15.

Aqua Pennsylvania will close and detour Route 252 (Leopard Road) between Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Sugartown Road in Tredyffrin and Easttown townships, Chester County weekdays beginning Monday, Oct. 17 for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).. announced. Route 252 (Leopard Road) will be closed and detoured Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Dec. 15.

During construction, Route 252 (Leopard Road) will be detoured over Darby Road and Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue). Local access will be maintained up the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
