Would-Be Thieves Want What's Under Your Vehicle
Tredyffrin Police report two more attempted thefts of valuable metals.
Tredyffrin Police report one, and possibly two, more cases of thieves targeting catalytic converters. The converters are part of car exhaust systems and contain valuable precious metals.
According to police the latest reports came on July 22 and July 20. Police say they got a call on July 22 from a vehicle owner who said a would-be thief tried to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked all day at the parking lot.
Another potential victim reported the attempted theft of scrap metal in the 200 block of Swedesford Road. The intended victim told police there has been an ongoing problem with the same thieves.

These are the latest in a string of thefts and attempted thefts of catalytic converters in the area. Earlier in July Tat the Paoli SEPTA station parking lot.
