'Bridging The Gap' Between Upper Dublin Police & Community Presentation Set For Thursday
During the presentation, a film will be shown and the public will have a chance to learn more about police-community relations.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — The township is inviting members of the public to a presentation on Thursday that is part of the ongoing 'Know Your Township Series.'
This week's topic is titled "Bridging The Gap Between Police & Our Community," and the presentation is scheduled to kick off Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
The presentation is expected to last about two hours.

The Upper Dublin Police Department says that the program is a great opportunity for community members to get to know their local law enforcement agency.
During the presentation, attendees will be able to catch a viewing of the film "Walking While Black: L.O.V.E. Is The Answer" by AJ Ali, which will be followed by an open conversation on race and policing in American communities.

A short reception and light refreshments will follow.
The program will take place at the Upper Dublin Public Library and interested participants are asked to register in advance.
Panelists at the program include Francis Wheatley, Upper Dublin's chief of police; the Reverend Denise Harris of Tru Ministry; Deah Gerard-May, president of the Ambler branch of the NAACP; Angela Bell, a Montgomery County assistant district attorney; Dan Oritz, principal of Sandy Run Middle School; Andrew Lavenberg, a detective-sergeant with the Upper Dublin Police Department; Zachary Anderson, a local college student and township resident; and Terry Lewis, a Montgomery County detective and past member of the Philadelphia Police Department.
