Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Route 309 In Montco

UPPER DUBLIN TOWNSHIP, PA —State Route 309 northbound is closed between Highland Avenue and Susquehanna Road due to a crash involving multiple vehicles early Friday morning, police said.

The Upper Township Police Department is asking drivers to please avoid the area and seek an alternate route.

The closure will remain in place until further notice, police said.

The crash also sparked a car fire, Action News 6 reported.

Several emergency vehicles are on the scene.

Traffic is being detoured to exit at Highland Avenue with Bethlehem Pike or Susquehanna Road suggested to access northbound Route 309.

There has been no word on how long the road is expected to be closed.
