PA Turnpike Bridge Inspection Begins In Upper Dublin Twp.

UPPER DUBLIN TOWNSHIP, PA —Inspection of a bridge on the Pennsylvania Turnpike takes place Tuesday, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that bridge inspection is scheduled on Interstate 76 and several other state highways in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., an alternating left lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 309 (Fort Washington Expressway) at the Fort Washington/Pennsylvania Turnpike Interchange in Upper Dublin Township, for Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge inspection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

These inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
