Upper Dublin Medal Winners To Be Honored During Ceremony Next Week

The 2022 Upper Dublin Medal Winners will be honored during an event May 18 at Manufacturers' Golf and Country Club.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — Winners of this year's Upper Dublin Medal program will be recognized during a ceremonial event at a local country club next week.

The medals ceremony is scheduled to take place May 18 at Manufacturers' Golf and Country Club, located at 511 Dreshertown Road in Fort Washington, with a cocktail reception kicking things off at 6 p.m. and the ceremony beginning around 7:30 p.m.

The cost to attend is $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door on the evening of the event.

The award recipients this year are Barbara Mass for Outstanding Citizen, Amy Gelman for Outstanding Educator, Eric's RX Shoppe for Outstanding Business, and Willow Kaplan and Luke Price for Outstanding Students.

The medals ceremony is a program that dates back to 1985.

Today, the program is a joint venture of the Upper Dublin School District, Upper Dublin Township, Fort Washington Business Alliance and the Upper Dublin Education Foundation.

The program serves as a way to honor various members of the local community.

Nominations are reviewed by nine-member selection committees made up of various community members, according to information about the program found online.

The program is now in its 38th year.
