Community Day Return Studied In Lower Makefield
Lower Makefield officials are asking residents for feedback on whether the annual event should come back after not taking place in 2024.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Will Community Day make a comeback this year?
One year after the annual Community Day —also known as Community Pride Day —not taking place, township officials are revisiting the event.
While no plans have been finalized, officials are investigating the potential of the event's return and are asking residents to weigh in.

"As part of that process, we want to hear from you," officials said. "This feedback will help us ensure that the expectations and needs of the community are being met while at the same time, we are being responsible stewards of public funds."

Township officials outlined costs for the event over the years.
In 2023, the township spent $47,000 in direct external costs with an additional $23,000 in staffing costs. Of this $70,000 of gross costs, $22,130 was offset through sponsorships and vendor fees. This was in addition to unquantifiable in-kind contributions.
