Edgewood Road Closed Through August For Roundabout Installation

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released a map of detours, as well as a more detailed timeline for the project.

(Lower Makefield Township Police Department)

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Edgewood Road in Lower Makefield Township will be closed with a detour until Aug. 27, so that traffic circles can be installed.

The road will be closed in the area of the railroad tracks, between Schuyler Drive and Mill Road. Crews will install traffic circles at Edgewood Road at Schuyler Drive beginning Friday, and at Edgewood Road and Mill Road beginning August 10.

Dates of closure are approximate, depending on weather and other unforeseen events. Depending on your location and direction of travel, you may use either the purple or red route to access areas east and west of Edgewood Road. The orange route remains the current detour for residents from the direction of Sandy Run, Fairway, and Reading roads.
