'Greetings From Yardley' Mural To Be Dedicated
The mural, on Main Street, was designed by Tony Napoli, a painter and former art director at Pennsbury High.

YARDLEY, PA — The new mural that's been painted in downtown Yardley will be getting an official dedication this weekend.
The "Greetings From Yardley" mural is on the wall of Firehouse Cycles at 15 S. Main St. Based on the popular vacation postcards of the 1930s and '40s, the mural was created by Experience Yardley.
The dedication ceremony will be from noon-1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17.

"Since there is only one Yardley in America and, for that matter, in the entire Western Hemisphere, we thought, let's put something on that wall in the center of town that people will recognize as an icon," said Jef Buehler, past-president of Experience Yardley. "Sort of a modern-day postcard that they can use on Instagram and social media to say 'Hey, I'm from Yardley and it's awesome' or 'I visited Yardley and it was awesome.' "
The mural was designed by artist Tony Napoli, a painter and former Pennsbury High School art department chairman. Napoli headed up the mural's painting, working with a team of former students and others.

Saturday's ceremony is scheduled rain or shine and attendees are encouraged to wear masks. A cake, provided by Cramer's Bakery and designed to look like the mural, will be served on a first come, first served basis.
