Heat Wave: Community Center Can Shelter Residents On Wednesday
The LMT Community Center will be open 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Police ask that anyone at risk in the heat call 215-493-4055 for assistance.
LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Lower Makefield Township has issued an excessive heat warning through Wednesday evening, police said Tuesday. Residents are warned of "dangerously hot" conditions and a heat index up to 105 degrees.
The Lower Makefield Community Center will be open to accommodate residents between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Residents needing to make use of the Community Center should contact the police department at 215-493-4055.
Police said that any elderly residents, residents with disabilities, or people who are unable to remain comfortable during the heat emergency should notify them for assistance, and call 9-1-1 for any emergencies.
