River Road To Close Next Week For Bridge Work

YARDLEY, PA — River Road in Lower Makefield and Yardley will be closed next week for work on the Scudder Falls Bridge.

The closure will be on Monday, Oct. 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closure will be between Woodside Road and Afton Avenue and is for bridge pier construction, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Woodside Road, Taylorsville Road/Main Street and Afton Avenue. They are encouraged to leave extra time because backups may happen.
