Stolen Credit Card, Check Fraud: Lower Makefield Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents for the past week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A credit card was stolen that led to a big Sam's Club charge. Meanwhile, several fraud crimes were reported as well.

Jan. 27

THEFT —6200 Block of Spruce Mill Drive at 11:35 a.m. The complainant states they lost their credit card, which was used at an unknown Sam's Club for $1,858.58. The bank was notified and reimbursed the complainant.

Jan. 25

FRAUD —600 Block of Palmer Lane at 1:17 p.m. The complainant reports that unknown persons used their credit card for an online purchase of $558.32. The bank was notified of the disputed charge.

Jan. 24

FRAUD —300 Block of Oxford Valley Road at 2:25 p.m. The complainant reports that two checks were removed from their mailbox and re-written by two unknown individuals totaling $12,021.49. It was reported to the bank and the bank will reimburse the complainant.

FRAUD —500 Block of Cedar Hollow Drive at 11:34 a.m. The complainant reports that an unknown person transferred $244 from their Insta-pay account to an unknown cash app account without their permission. The complainant reported it to their bank.

THEFT —1500 Block of Dolington Road at 10:31 a.m. The complainant reports corresponded with a company they found online that sells custom home bar kits. They sent the company a deposit of $727 and signed a contract. The company was supposed to email pictures of the progress of the bar. The complainant hasn’t received any pictures of the bar's progress. The matter is under investigation.
