The court used evidence of several letters sent to Greenberg regarding the distribution of funds related to a 2007 personal injury case. Another attorney had written to him multiple times, even after he transferred from one law office to another.
His failure to respond to the letters prompted action by the courts. It found that Greenberg had not properly distributed money to clients over the course of several years. He has cited medical reasons for his neglect of the funds.
For these reasons, he will not be able to practice law again until 2025.
