COVID-19 Risk Level Lowered For All RI Counties Except Newport
Community levels in Bristol, Kent, Providence and Washington went from "high" to "medium" in the CDC's latest report.

RHODE ISLAND — All four "high" risk Rhode Island counties lowered their COVID-19 community levels to "medium" in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's latest report, the RI Department of Health said Thursday.
The only county with an elevated risk from last week is Newport, whose level went from "medium" to "high."
Community levels are determined by COVID-19 case rates and hospitalization data, the Department of Health said.

For people living in counties with a "high" community level, the CDC recommends wearing a mask indoors in public spaces.
