Human Remains Found Near Taylor Swift's Mansion Identified: Report

WESTERLY, RI — Human remains that washed ashore in Westerly last month have been identified. The remains were discovered near the Watch Hill mansion of pop icon Taylor Swift, according to People Magazine.

The remains belonged to 31-year-old Massachusetts resident Eric Wein, the South Kingstown Police Department said in a news release.

Wein's vehicle was found on Ocean Avenue in South Kingstown on April 10, the release said, and the remains washed ashore May 14.

People reported the remains consisted of a leg bone.

Wein was not believed to have been the victim of a homicide, police said.

"After working closely with the Mansfield Police Department and the Rhode Island Office of the State Medical Examiners, the South Kingstown Police Department has formally concluded its investigation," the release said. "No foul play is suspected."
