RI Heat Advisory Issued For First Half Of Week

Drink plenty of fluids, the National Weather Service warned.

The National Weather Service issued a Rhode Island heat advisory starting Monday morning that is to last through Wednesday night.

The heat advisory starts at 11 a.m. Monday and goes to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Heat index values could reach 100 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

"Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses," the National Weather Service warned.

"Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors," the National Weather Service advised.
