The 14-year-old girl was with a group of juveniles trespassing on the right of way, police said.
WORCESTER, MA — A 14-year-old girl was struck and killed by a commuter train Thursday night.
The teen was among a group of juveniles trespassing on the right of way on the Framingham/Worcester Line east of Atlas Street and North of Sunderland Road about 8 p.m., Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said in an email.
"A preliminary investigation suggests a female, 14 years of age, was positioned within the gage of the right of way and was struck by an MBTA commuter rail train," Sullivan said. "The victim has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained."
