Thunderstorms Expected In Rhode Island Friday Night

Expect Thunderstorms in Rhode Island Friday night, and some more of them Sunday.

The National Weather Service predicted called for "scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10pm. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall."

Saturday should be mostly sunny with a high near 82, and Saturday night partly cloudy with a low around 64.

But the thunder and lightning may return Sunday evening, the National Weather Service said, with a "slight chance of showers and thunderstorms" after 5 p.m. and then again before 8 p.m.
