Here are six things you should know about this weekend in and around Barrington:

  1. Sunny and warm all weekend with temperatures each day getting into the upper 60s and low 70s.
  2. Take in "La Cage aux Folles" on Friday and Saturday nights at 7 in the Barrington library auditorium.
  3. "Kidlympics," a track and field fundraising event for Red Brick School, returns to Barrington High School Saturday from 3 to 6 pm; open to kids ages 3 to 10.
  4. Shred your confidential documents at Barrington Christian Academy on Saturday morning for the cost of a donation to the school's mission-trip program; it's located on Old County Road.
  5. Drop your teen off at the Barrington Middle School sports night on Friday, then join the Parent2Parent session in the cafeteria at 7 pm for a facilitated get-together about shared concerns.
  6. St. Luke's Church, 108 Washington Road, is hosting a fundraising concert on Sunday at 3:30 pm by its Worship Group, featuring teens from the church and school performing Christian Rock music.
