5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today – May Day -- in Barrington:

1. Sunny and clear with warm temperatures expected to top off at about 67 degrees.
2. St. John’s Episcopal Church, the “Red Church” at 191 County Road, hosts another May Breakfast from 6 to 9 am.
3. A new six-week film-lecture series, “Audrey in the Afternoon,” starts at 1 pm in the Barrington library auditorium with Roman Holiday; it’s a salute to Audrey Hepburn led by librarian and film enthusiast Doug Swiszcz, who will provide commentary.
4. Barrington Neighbors and Newcomers hosts tennis drills and a workout each morning from 9 to noon at Centre Court Tennis Club, 55 Hospital Road, Riverside.
5. Displays of landscape paintings by an established Barrington artis and mixed-media by two brothers, ages 9 and 6, who are just starting out can be seen at the Barrington library starting today and running through May.
