5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today – May Day -- in Barrington:
- Sunny and clear with warm temperatures expected to top off at about 67 degrees.
- St. John’s Episcopal Church, the “Red Church” at 191 County Road, hosts another May Breakfast from 6 to 9 am.
- A new six-week film-lecture series, “Audrey in the Afternoon,” starts at 1 pm in the Barrington library auditorium with Roman Holiday; it’s a salute to Audrey Hepburn led by librarian and film enthusiast Doug Swiszcz, who will provide commentary.
- Barrington Neighbors and Newcomers hosts tennis drills and a workout each morning from 9 to noon at Centre Court Tennis Club, 55 Hospital Road, Riverside.
- Displays of landscape paintings by an established Barrington artis and mixed-media by two brothers, ages 9 and 6, who are just starting out can be seen at the Barrington library starting today and running through May.
