5 Things to Know About Today

Chance of T-storms; get a slice of Jack Lemmon; Marijuana Anonymous meets; see KIDS exhibit in Town Museum; knitters knit at Senior Center.

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington: 

  1. Partly cloudy and humid and with a slight chance of thunderstorms and a high temperature of 83 degrees.
  2. “It Should Happen to You,” the first film in the matinee summer series, A Slice of Lemmon, airs at 1 pm in the Barrington library auditorium.
  3. Marijuana Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who share recovery from marijuana addiction, meets at 7 pm in the education building of Barrington Congregational Church, 461 County Road.
  4.  The Town Museum operated by the Barrington Preservation Society is open from 11 am to 3 pm; its latest exhibit is titled “KIDS!” – how Barrington children lived, learned, worked and played more than 100 years ago.
  5.  The Knitters Group meets at the Barrington Senior Center at 10 am; it’s located in the lower level of the library building at 281 County Road.
