Auditions, Free Senior Bus Some Things to Know About

Here are some things you should know about today, Aug. 27, in and around Barrington:

• Showers in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon with a high temperature of around 79 degrees. 
• Today is the final day to audition for the Providence Singers concert season; tenors and basses are needed but you can schedule an audition with an email to chorus@providencesingers.org; for any voice type; auditions take place at the Carter Center, 667 Waterman Ave. East Providence, at 7 pm.
• The Barrington Senior Center offers a free bus for senior citizens on weekdays for transportation to and from the center, weekly shopping trips and local appointments, when possible. Reservations must be made the day before transportation is required.
• The Town of Barrington is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police Officer. Send a letter of interest and resume to the Human Resources Department at moliveira@barrington.ri.gov.
