Barrington to Recognize Volunteers

The second annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner starts at 5:30 pm in the Barrington High School cafeteria.

The 125 or so volunteers who make up  Barrington’s volunteer boards and commissions will be recognized again today at a barbecue.

The second annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner will be held in the Barrington High School cafeteria. It starts at 5:30 pm.

“Do you know how much time and energy and effort is given by them?” said Town Councilor Cynthia Coyne, who is again spearheading the event. “We couldn’t run local government without all the dedicated volunteers.”

Today's dinner will give back just a little bit to the people who give so much to Barrington during National Volunteer Month, Coyne said.
