Coastal Flooding, Wind Advisories as Patricia's Remnants Arrive

Plenty of rain and some strong winds are coming, but it's not going to be a crisis, according to the National Weather Service.

What was once Hurricane Patricia is now a huge mass of wind and rain that will reach Rhode Island on Wednesday afternoon and could deliver coastal flooding and downed trees limbs.

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory beginning 7 a.m. on Wednesday to midnight as the potential for heavy rain coupled with high tide could cause some flooding. There will only be isolated road closures if flooding occurs, however, and the weather service said that there is no signficant threat to life and any impact on property is minimal.

Rhode Islanders could see anywhere from three-quarters of an inch to two inches of rain before skies clear and sunshine returns on Thursday.
