'Crazy Good' Yogurt Shop Opening Doors
YogoCrazy expects to open for business by the end of this week in Barrington.
Jennifer Pfeffer expects to be serving some “crazy good” frozen yogurt and Greek yogurt by the end of this week in Barrington.
Pfeffer is opening the YogoCrazy shop in the former home of Alfred’s Consignments on the corner of Wood and Maple Avenues. It’s a make-your-own-sundae shop.
“I’ve been wanting to do this for two years,” said Pfeffer, a former advertising and marketing representative with 94HJY and 92PROFM radio stations.

Pfeffer will offer self-serve frozen yogurt and a Greek yogurt bar.
“I want a place where you can get healthy treats and a have a lot of fun” she said. “A place where teams can come after games and celebrate and interact. I want to make this place almost like an event, where you can have birthday parties and maybe fundraising activities.”

Pfeffer has three children of her own, Michael, 13, Ally, 9, and Owen, 6. They love to make their own sundaes,
“I saw them and other kids having so much fun,” she said. “I love this town and want to bring something really fun to the community.”
Pfeffer and her husband, Jonathan, who operates Greenworks Landscaping, moved to Barrington 15 years ago from the East Side of Providence. They met at Bryant University.
“I see this as bringing a kind of balance to my life as well,” she said.
Pfefffer plans to be open 7 days a week from 11:30 am to 9 or 10 pm. She plans a grand opening sometime in early August. A soft opening is expected on Sunday.
She said he is hiring Barrington High School students to work there with her manager and herself. Call the store at 289-2707 to see if there are any more openings.
What about the name – YogoCrazy? Where did it come from?
“My sister and I were sitting around and brainstorming,” she said. “It just kind of happened – as did my slogan.”
